What is hourly visiting care?

Hourly visiting care from Moorcare Devon is for people who require a little help with day to day living. Sometimes referred to as “domiciliary care” it is a visiting service where trained carers make regular visits providing personal care, domestic assistance and companionship.

Moorcare Devon hourly visiting care can be as flexible as you wish – from 30 minutes once a week, to several hours daily, we provide a range of services, some of these are listed below:

Personal care provided:
• Getting ready for the day: help getting up, support with continence care, washing, dressing
• Settling for the night: going to bed, undressing

Help around the house:
• General housework such as vacuuming, laundry and washing up
• Preparation and cooking of meals
• Shopping, errands and the collection of prescriptions
• Support with correspondence, such as letters, emails and telephone calls
• Accompanying you with trips out to the shops or to see friends

Other care provided:
• Support with your medication
• Providing good company, someone to talk to and listen to
• Providing respite cover so an family carer can take a break
• Overnight care
• Sitting service – We can provide a sitting service for carers who need a break, and accept vouchers from the “Take a Break” scheme.
